Privacy Policy & Data Protection Notice
Neighborly Trust Technologies ("Neighborly Trust", "we", "us", or "our") is dedicated to protecting the privacy and personal data of our customers and service specialists. This policy discloses how we collect, handle, protect, and process your data in accordance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and Google Play Developer Policies.
1. Data Controller & Contact
Entity: Neighborly Trust Technologies
Headquarters: Shivamogga, Karnataka, India
Data Grievance Officer: Jeevan M (privacy@neighborlytrust.in)
2. Personal Data We Collect & Purpose
Collected strictly during login for SMS OTP authentication and account identification.
Used solely in real-time when browsing or booking to match you with nearby service technicians (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) and calculate routing distance. We never track your location in the background when the app is closed.
Used strictly for in-app peer-to-peer WebRTC voice calling between customer and specialist. Audio is NEVER recorded, stored, or processed on any server.
3. Privacy Shield & Data Masking
We implement proactive privacy shielding. Specialist and customer phone numbers are masked in all app views. Voice calls route through encrypted WebRTC protocols so neither party's personal phone number is disclosed.
4. Zero Data Selling & Third-Party Processors
We DO NOT sell, rent, or monetise your personal data with any third-party advertisers or brokers. We work with trusted infrastructure providers:
- Supabase Inc. (Database and authentication infrastructure protected with TLS 1.3 & Row Level Security).
- Metered.ca (TURN relay servers for direct WebRTC NAT traversal).
5. User Rights & Account Deletion (DPDP Act 2023)
You maintain full ownership of your data. You may request data access, correction, or permanent account deletion at any time. You can also self-delete your account directly in the app under Profile > Delete Account, which permanently purges all profile records, bookings, and associated data from our systems.
6. Children's Privacy
Neighborly Trust is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly solicit or collect data from children under 18 years of age.
